Photochromic Powder
Photochromic powder is a kind of photosensitive material, which is a raw material coated with photosensitive pigment. Photosensitive pigment is a material that undergoes reversible color change under sunlight/ultraviolet rays. Its color change principle is to absorb ultraviolet rays with a wavelength of 290nm ~390nm. After being irradiated by light, the molecular structure changes, causing color change, and when the light is lost, it is restored to the original color."
Key Parameters and Application Scenarios
Discoloration Basic colors Common colorless to colored: yellow, red, blue, purple, red, etc
Heat-resistant temperature 220 degrees
Mainly used in clothing printing, ceramic mug, plastic injection molding, advertising products, children's toys, heat transfer printing stickers
Application form and adaptation process
Photochromic powder is divided into original powder, microcapsule powder (MC), masterbatch, etc. according to its form, and is suitable for different processes:
Ink/paint: 10%-40% addition ratio, suitable for fabric, paper printing;
Plastic processing: Adding ratio 0.4%-3%, suitable for injection molding/extrusion of PP, ABS, PVC and other materials;
Special scenes: such as ultraviolet detection (sun protection tips), anti-counterfeiting signs, etc.
